The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) was previously known as South Australian Matriculation (SAM). SACE International is an internationally recognised pre-university programme that is equivalent to the Year 12 Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) course. SACE is a qualification that prepares students for life beyond the classroom. The programme teaches them to be innovative thinkers to fit in the 21st century and is designed as an entry route to universities across the globe.
Assessments
70% School Assessment and
30% External Examination
Note: All assessments and grades are converted into the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) at the end of the programme. The ATAR score is calculated based on the four highest scoring subjects and 50% from the 5th highest scoring subject. The ATAR measures a student’s overall academic achievement as compared to his or her peers. For example, an ATAR of 95 means the student performed better than 95% of his or her peers who has completed the programme.
